Pricing factors

What moves your price up or down

Per-user pricing keeps budgeting simple, but these factors decide where in the range you land.

Security level
24/7 monitoring and response is the biggest single price driver.
Compliance
HIPAA, CMMC and PCI add controls, logging and documentation.
Servers and infrastructure
On-site servers, firewalls and switches add management time.
Locations
More sites mean more networks to monitor and more travel for on-site work.
Current condition
Aging equipment and undocumented systems raise onboarding cost.

FAQ

Managed IT pricing questions

How much do managed IT services cost?

Most Southern California businesses pay $100 to $300 per user per month. Basic helpdesk and monitoring sits at the low end; full security with 24/7 monitoring and compliance sits at the high end. Servers typically add $150 to $300 each per month.

What's included in the per-user price?

Helpdesk support, monitoring, patching, backup and security tools for each user's devices, plus account management. Higher tiers add endpoint detection and response, email security, security training, 24/7 monitoring and vCISO time.

What isn't included?

Hardware, software licenses such as Microsoft 365, and projects like office moves, migrations or new network installs are usually quoted separately.

Is there an onboarding fee?

Usually. Onboarding covers documenting your environment, installing tools and fixing urgent issues, and commonly runs between half and one full month of service.

What is co-managed IT?

Co-managed IT supports an in-house IT person or team with helpdesk overflow, monitoring tools, security and after-hours coverage. It usually costs less per user than fully managed. See co-managed IT.

Why does compliance cost more?

HIPAA, CMMC and PCI require extra controls, logging, documentation and reviews, which add time every month.
