What you get

What you get from every consultation

The consultation is structured to be useful even if WCC isn't the right partner for what you need. Whether or not we end up working together, you walk away with an honest picture of your current IT posture and a clear set of priorities.

01

Current-state assessment

An engineering-level read on your network, security stack, cloud footprint, and compliance posture. Where things are solid, where the risks live, what's likely to break first.

02

Prioritized recommendations

The two or three highest-impact improvements you could make in the next 6 to 12 months — ranked by risk, cost, and effort. Not a 30-item wish list.

03

Written findings document

Delivered within 5 business days of the consultation. You keep it whether you become a WCC customer or not. Built to be useful to your team or your next IT vendor.

04

Clear next steps

If there's a fit, WCC sends a proposal a few days later. If there's not a fit, we say so and recommend what we'd do if we were in your seat. No follow-up pressure, no drip campaign.

Who this is for

Who this is built for

Not every business is a good fit for WCC, and not every situation calls for a consultation. These are the conversations where we add the most value.

Considering switching MSPsExisting provider is unresponsive, expensive, or has aged out of your needs. Common at the 50+ user mark when growth outpaces your current setup.
Running IT internally and outgrowing itOne sysadmin handling everything from helpdesk to firewall changes. The role is breaking under the weight, but you're not ready for a CIO hire.
Facing a compliance auditHIPAA, CJIS, CMMC, NIST 800-171, SOC 2, PCI DSS — your auditor is asking for evidence you don't have. The consultation maps the gap.
Planning an office move or expansionNew location, new floor, new building. The cabling, WiFi, security, and AV all need to come together at once — ideally without four separate contractors.
Cybersecurity is becoming urgentCyber insurance renewal is asking hard questions, a peer got hit with ransomware, or your board wants a posture review. You know it's a priority but unsure where to start.
Multi-site coordination is breaking3, 5, 15 sites across SoCal — every location with its own setup, vendor, and quirks. You need one accountable team across the footprint.
How it works

How the consultation works — from first call to written findings

Four steps. Two weeks end-to-end. Most of the work happens on WCC's side — the asks of your time are small and specific.

Step 01 · This week

15-minute scoping call

Quick alignment call. What you're trying to figure out, what brought you to this conversation, and whether a longer conversation makes sense. Schedule the next step.

Step 02 · Within 1 week

60-90 minute consultation

Onsite or remote video. Senior WCC engineer leads. Covers current state, pain points, compliance obligations, and goals. Brief tour of server room or wiring closet if onsite.

Step 03 · Within 5 business days

Written findings delivered

PDF document with current-state assessment, prioritized recommendations, and rough cost ranges. Yours to keep. Useful even if you don't engage WCC further.

Step 04 · Your call

Decide what's next

If WCC is a fit, we send a proposal. If not, we tell you what we'd do if we were in your seat. Either way, no drip campaign, no follow-up sales loop.

FAQs

Common questions about the consultation

This consultation is genuinely free with no obligation. WCC invests the time because a 60-90 minute scoping conversation is the only way for both sides to know if there's a real fit. About 30% of consultations end with WCC telling the prospect we're not the right partner for what they need. The remaining 70% become customer conversations on our terms or theirs.

The consultation is a structured conversation, not a sales pitch. We ask about current state (what's working, what's not, what's coming), document the technology environment at high level (network, security stack, cloud footprint, compliance obligations), identify the two or three highest-impact opportunities, and deliver written findings within 5 business days. You keep the findings document regardless of whether we work together afterward.

The consultation is built for Southern California businesses in the 25 to 500 employee range that are either considering switching MSPs, currently running IT internally and outgrowing it, facing a compliance audit (HIPAA, CJIS, CMMC, SOC 2, PCI DSS), planning office moves or expansion, or worried about cybersecurity posture but unsure where to start. WCC primarily serves the LA, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, and Ventura county footprint.

No hard selling. The consultation is diagnostic. If there's a fit, WCC follows up with a written proposal a few days later — you decide whether to engage. If there's no fit, we say so and recommend other paths. Many consultations result in WCC suggesting that the prospect stay with their current provider, hire a different specialist, or solve the problem internally with a specific tool.

The initial scoping call is 15 minutes — quick alignment on what to discuss. The actual consultation is 60 to 90 minutes, conducted in-person at your office or remotely via video. Most consultations include a brief tour of the server room or wiring closet if onsite. Written findings are delivered within 5 business days after the consultation.

Not a problem. About 40% of these conversations happen 6 to 18 months before a contract change. The consultation gives you a benchmark to compare against your current provider, helps you build the internal case for change when the time comes, and gets WCC's name in front of you as a known quantity rather than a cold vendor when you're ready to evaluate options.
