WCC Technologies Group is a Verkada partner in Southern California. Verkada runs cameras, access control, intercoms, environmental sensors and visitor management from one cloud dashboard, Verkada Command, with footage stored on each camera instead of an NVR. We design, supply, install and support Verkada systems across Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and San Diego.
The platform
What Verkada is and how it works
Verkada devices connect directly to Verkada Command, a web and mobile dashboard for live view, playback, search, alerts, door schedules and user permissions. Cameras store footage locally, with optional cloud archiving, so there are no recorders to patch or replace. Every location shows up in the same dashboard without VPNs between sites.
Verkada is often the easiest platform for non-technical staff, which is why it does well in retail, offices and school districts where front-office staff pull footage. The trade-off is ongoing per-device licensing and fewer third-party integrations than open platforms. Verkada's Command Connector can bring some existing cameras into Command for phased migrations.

Licensing
How Verkada licensing works
Every Verkada device needs an active license, sold per device for multi-year terms. The license covers Command access, software updates, support and, for cameras, the warranty. If a license lapses, the device stops working in Command, so renewals matter. We line up license terms so every device across your sites renews on the same date, and we show hardware, licenses, installation and network work as separate lines in every quote.
Verkada's camera warranty runs as long as the license is active, up to 10 years. Longer license terms usually lower the yearly cost.
Network
What your network needs for Verkada
- PoE switching with enough power budget for cameras, readers and intercoms. Many older switches need upgrades.
- Upload bandwidth for live viewing and clips from offsite. Footage stays on the camera until someone views it, so normal use is modest.
- A separate VLAN for security devices, with outbound access to Verkada's cloud allowed through the firewall.
- Cat6 cabling in good condition to every device. Existing Cat5e often works for cameras.

Is WCC a Verkada partner?
Yes. WCC Technologies Group is a Verkada partner in Southern California and designs, supplies, installs and supports Verkada cameras, access control, intercoms and sensors.
Does Verkada need an NVR?
No. Verkada cameras store footage on the camera, with optional cloud archiving, and are managed through Verkada Command in the cloud.
What warranty does Verkada offer?
Verkada cameras carry a 10-year hardware warranty while the device license is active. Coverage on other product lines varies, so we confirm it in each quote.
Can Verkada use existing cameras?
Partly. Verkada Command Connector can bring some existing cameras into Command for viewing and recording, which helps during a phased migration. Most Verkada features need Verkada cameras.
Is Verkada a good fit for schools?
Yes for many districts. Lockdown, alerts and simple footage sharing are strengths. Cameras and access control are not E-Rate eligible, so plan that funding separately.
How much does Verkada cost?

What happens if a Verkada license expires?
The device stops working in Command until the license is renewed. We align renewal dates across your sites so nothing lapses unexpectedly.
